About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ambitious Commercial Lines Account Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in commercial insurance broking, with strong product knowledge, client relationship skills, and a thorough understanding of Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements.  This role will allow you to build your own relationships with your clients and to be fully responsible for the management of your own portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage your own portfolio of commercial insurance clients, including renewals, mid-term adjustments for all classes of Commercial Insurance
• Liaise with insurers to obtain competitive terms and ensure cover meets clients’ needs.
• Provide clear, compliant advice and information to clients on a wide range of commercial products
• Negotiate renewals and policy terms in the best interest of clients.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all files are compliant with Central Bank regulations.
• Handle claims efficiently, providing updates and assistance to clients throughout the process.
• Arrange finance for clients where required
• Provide New Business Quotations
• Identify cross-selling opportunities
• Ensure all work meets the standards required under the Consumer Protection Code, Minimum Competency Code, and Fitness & Probity Standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a commercial insurance broking role.
• CIP or Grandfathered
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
