Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Commercial Insurance Account Executive to help manage an established and varied book of commercial clients. The role includes handling renewals, processing mid-term adjustments (MTAs), assisting clients with claims, and providing expert insurance advice. You will also play a key role in developing new business opportunities and strengthening client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in various sections of Commercial Insurance including Property Owners, Apartment Blocks, Fleets and commercial combined risks. Key Responsibilities

Client Servicing & Portfolio Management

  • Manage and service an existing portfolio of commercial clients, including Property Owners, Apartment Blocks, and Commercial Combined risks.
  • Oversee the full renewal process — gathering information, reviewing cover, negotiating with insurers, and issuing terms and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
  • Handle mid-term adjustments (MTAs), assist with claims, and provide expert advice on suitable insurance products, cover options, and risk management.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships, ensuring high service standards and fostering long-term loyalty.

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building strong relationships and developing a proactive sales pipeline.
  • Evaluate client needs and deliver tailored insurance solutions aligned with their risk

Market Engagement & Insurer Liaison

  • Negotiate effectively with insurers to secure favourable terms and competitive
  • Stay informed on market trends, product developments, and changes in insurer appetite or service levels, and share insights with management.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements including MCC, CPC, AML/TF, and Fitness & Probity
  • Ensure up-to-date CPD compliance and maintain professional knowledge and

  • Ensure full disclosure of any relevant issues in line with regulatory

Internal Collaboration & Contribution

  • Collaborate with other internal teams to promote efficiency, contribute to training, and support product development where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial insurance role
  • CIP qualified (or working towards CIP/APA qualification).
  • Experience handling Commercial Property and/or commercial combined risks is highly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Applied Relay
