The purpose of the session is an overview of Contract Works followed by a view of Standard vs Non Standard Construction from both a Customer (Contractors) view and the view of the Insurance professional. It aims to give the attendees an appreciation from both perspectives with a view to enhancing their conversations with customers.
As construction technology evolves, so do the associated risks. This session will address emerging challenges in the Contract Works space, providing brokers with the knowledge needed to better serve their construction clients. Patrick will offer expert analysis of Design Exclusions (DE1-DE5) and essential contractual requirements that impact coverage and claims.
Drawing on their extensive industry experience, Patrick and Gerald will share claims examples that highlight key underwriting considerations and potential pitfalls.
Meet Patrick Dunne Geraghty

I’m a qualified Quantity Surveyor who transitioned into Insurance 15 years ago. I have held various roles across Personal and Specialty Lines in that time including Construction and Engineering Specialist and Lead Construction Underwriter over 8 years.
A little under two years ago I joined Allianz plc as Underwriting Manager, Construction, Engineering and Marine. The role predominantly involves leading a team of specialists across annual and project specific construction products and portfolio responsibility for number of construction liability schemes.
