Brokers Ireland Pre Budget 2025 Submission

Brokers Ireland sent it’s Pre Budget submission for 2025 to the Minister for Finance this week.

In the submission, Brokers Ireland proposes various changes to tax and policy that impact the sector of life assurance and pensions including:

• Increasing the SFT
• Reducing the LAET
• Abolishing the 1% levy
• Reform of some PRSA rules
• Lower taxation on gains from sustainable investing
• Introduction of a financial incentive for older people to rent out their homes
